Pen & Prompt is a workshop series that provides space for undergraduate students to discuss the impact of GenAI and other digital technologies on the practice of writing. Pen & Prompt is for AI-enthusiasts, AI-resisters, and everyone in between!
Launched in Fall 2026, Pen & Prompt aims to offer two sessions per term, exploring different aspects of GenAI, technology, and writing. Some sessions will explore how to effectively engage with GenAI tools; others will rely on analog technologies to center the human experience of writing; and some sessions will intersect analog and digital technologies to investigate how they inform and complicate the practice of writing.
A judgment free space, Pen & Prompt provides a place for students to discuss, debate, and think in a low-stakes, fun environment.
